We were blessed with the weather on Saturday, 2nd July considering the week before was dreadful, with sailing cancelled. A great turn out again for the event with a guest appearance by Senator Averil Power. We had great weather, nice wind & all sailors had fun!! Thanks to all who supported the day from sailors, helpers to sponsors & of course our team of instructors. Thanks to all who returned their cards & money if any outstanding please leave @ SDC office for the attention of Mandy Kelly.

There were two prizes for Best Dressed Boat shared by Emma Bebbington-Doyle & Ellen Harkin and Saoirse Kelly & Lucy L'Estrange. There was a special prize for the best effort which went to Laura Mc Sweeney. Alannah Carroll Mc Geehan won Best Improved and Tim Coyne got a prize for Perseverance!! Well done to all.

All prizes were kindly donated from local businesses for the sponsored sail. Looking forward to a bigger and better event next year
