Great
excitment at the final days frostbite racing at Sutton Creek
on Sunday 1st November. Race Officer Mike O'Neill hoped
to run 4 races but the wind had other intentions. Race 9
was run in moderate conditions however in the starting sequence
for the next race, the wind increased rapidly. Gale force
winds brought surf, spray and those boats not planing were
capsized. Racing was promptly abandoned with all available
hands joining rescue crews in retrieving sailors and boats.
Thankfully all escaped unharmed and recounted tales of survival
between mouthfuls of Aidan's famous hamburgers.
