Our Mission
Captured in the words of Irish Sailing….
‘…..As an ISA recognised Training Centre and Category 1 Club, Sutton Dinghy Club supports our 2020 Vision to make sailing & boating more accessible to all. This club has been providing numerous facilities and programmes to a variety of community groups, schools and people with disabilities in the Fingal Area for a number of years now. The ISA use this club as a Flagship example to the rest of our clubs throughout Ireland as to how to involve the community other than its own members…’
‘Geraldine, Thank you for all your efforts – my girls had an absolute blast at the sailing course. The atmosphere alone was just amazing. Really wonderful. Thank you’
‘ A massive thanks to all the team at Sutton Dinghy Club who accommodated ISA sailors on their boot camp over last 3 days. Without the support of clubs and training centres we would not be able to bring home the medals.
The last few days were about mental fortitude and singing‘
‘ A big thank you to everyone in Sutton Dinghy Club who helped in any way this weekend at the All Ireland Inter Schools. Hope to see you all again next year. Marist College Athlone team.‘
‘ We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at SDC. This is the third year that the children have sailed with you and it gets better every time. We are delighted they are learning a life skill and they are thrilled to be having so much fun in an environment where they feel at home. We have visited lots of sailing clubs and it would be difficult to find one as welcoming and encouraging to children as SDC. Teamed with a fantastic location and wonderful staff and instructors you have made more wonderful memories for us and the children. ‘
‘To Geraldine, Hugh and all at Sutton Dinghy Club. Many thanks for giving our children a wonderful summer of sailing.’
‘Dear Dinghy club, My son has just completed two weeks sailing camp at your club. I’m writing to thank you for such a wonderful camp. Carl has benefited enormously from his experiences with you over the last two weeks, he has been full of chat and enthusiasm about his sailing and has really enjoyed the comradery and fun atmosphere of the camp. He will definitely be back for more sailing and thank you for introducing him to a new sport on such a positive note!’ All the best,
