It was with great sadness we heard today of the passing of our former Club Secretary Brian Canton. Brian was a member of the General Committee for a number of years and was very involved in the set-up and the running of the CE Project in the mid 90’s. Brian’s son Barry crewed for Hugh Gill including a GP14 National Championship win. Brian and his family moved from Sutton to Co. Westmeath a number of years ago.
The Club Committee extends its thoughts and condolences to his wife Bernadette, son Barry and all the family.
Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar on Friday 12th from 5.30pm concluding with prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 13th at 11am in the Church of St Livinus, Killulagh, Delvin (N91 HP66). Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
