It is with sadness that we have to report the death of Cecil Andreucetti, one of our key staff members . Cecil died peacefully at Beaumont hospital yesterday after collapsing on his way home from work on Monday afternoon. Cecil Andreucetti @ Sutton Dinghy Club

Cecil joined our team a number of years ago, and any members who called in during the weekdays will remember him as the gentleman who worked in the main room and always dressed in suit, shirt & tie. Over those few years Cecil was tasked with helping the Club to bringing our accounts into the modern age and he took this responsibility very seriously. He embarked on training courses and got to grips with the project. As a direct result of his efforts our accounts are now fully computerized.

Last year he suffered a setback with his health and was on sick leave for a number of months while recovering. He was delighted to be able to resume duties with us in February this year and was looking forward to working with us until his retirement.

However that was not to be. He was fastidious in his approach and always took great pride in the preparation of accurate end of year figures for submission to our Club Auditors. He was popular with his colleagues and never shied away from engaging in the banter which has been a hallmark of the coffee break at the club. He will be sorely missed.
