Our fingers were crossed going into the last day that Sutton might bring home the 2015 Mirror National Championship for a second year running following the McLoughlin/Langan victory in Sligo in 2014. 
With 2 races to conclude the event, Sutton Dinghy Clubs Conor Twohig & Brian Sheehy were tied on 9pts with pre-event favourite Jack Ryan and Ben Graf from Lough ReeYC. A 2nd in race 9 on Sunday morning behind the LRYC pair meant they needed a top 2 finish with Ryan & Graf out of the top 5 in the final race. A very difficult ask in the ever lightening conditions. An OCS meant it was irrelevant and the Sutton pair had to be content with runners-up spot in a Championship which yielded 4 race victories. 
Sutton Dinghy Clubs other representatives in the Silver fleet Oscar Langan & Lugaidh Craosdell kept the best to last with 5th in final race and finished 10th. Well done guys.
