Oisin took 3rd place and Tadgh took 2nd place in the Regatta fleet. Another good days sailing for the guys. Saoirse Kelly crewing for Shane McLoughlin took first place in the 420 class.

MYC Abby OisinMalahide Yacht Club Junior Regatta – On Sat 27th August MYC held their Junior regatta and the event was sailed in light winds and sunshine. Following four races in shifty conditions young Oisin Kelly (aged 8) finished in 3rd in the regatta fleet. In a very competitive Optimist main fleet Abby Kinsella gains more experience completing all four races finishing mid fleet. Rory Murdoch competed in the Laser Radial fleet with lots of top competition.

Optimist Nationals Lough Derg – Congratulation to Sutton Dinghy Clubs Oisin Kelly who completed the IODAI Nationals Regatta (August 15-19). A week long event, 10 races in very windy and difficult conditions saw Oisin Kelly, aged 8, finish 23rd from 50 competitors predominantly aged 10 to 13. Well done young man.
