The Laser Ulsters took place last weekend at Country Antrim Yacht Club on Belfast Lough.
Great to again to see Sutton Dinghy Club represented with Ciaran Durnford tempted back after experiencing a couple of Laser 4.7 Open events last season. Ciaran, despite his young age has moved into the Radial fleet where he can expect to come up against some very experienced sailors this season. With total of 56 boats in Belfast, Ciaran faced 25 starters in the the Radial fleet which was eventually won by the very experienced Sean Craig. While Ciaran was down the field, he did manage to get into 2 protest, both of which he won. All in all a great experience and something that will help Ciaran progress this season.
