Continuing our visit down Mirror memory lane, 7 years ago Sutton Dinghy Club recorded its 8th and last win in the Mirror Irish Nationals when Alan Blay raced to victory in an event sailed out of Royal Cork YC, Crosshaven.
Alan had a great year in 2006 also winning the Easterns, Westerns and the Northerns.
Alan is still involved in SDC racing a GP14.
His crew back in 2006 Cian Hickey from Skerries Sailing Club is one of the leading contenders for the 2013 event here in Lough Derg.
