At the 3rd time of asking this summer, Sutton Dinghy Clubs Shane McLoughlin & Oscar Langan have their hands on the Mirror silverware.
The lads had been runner up this summer at both the Leinsters and Ulsters and in both cases beaten by a single point. In the largest fleet of the year in Crosshaven, Shane & Oscar had to win both races on Sunday to wrest the title away from Ulsters Champion Tiarnan Dickson. And that they did with a faultless display.
The lads will be competing at the Mirror Europeans in the UK in February. Maybe they should reconsider a tilt at the Irish Nationals in Sligo.
