Following the practice race in Torbay, the Zhik GP14 UK National Championships got underway proper with Race 1 in the 9 race series sailed today. A superb start for the Irish contingent saw Alan Blay & David Johnston from Sutton Dinghy Club take the gun. The pair were followed home by Poole YC’s Andrew Clewer & Mark Taylor with fellow Irish pairing Shane McCarthy & Andy Thompson (Greystones) in 3rd.
