Club racing and supervised sailing gets underway next Sunday, April 10th with First Gun at 6pm. You may have noticed a few boats already out on the water the last couple of weekends. With the GP14 Worlds in August, some of our GP14 fleet have been getting in some practice. The GP14s are not the only ones getting out however with Alan Carr out training new crew for his IDRA14. The Optimist fleet are also preparing for a couple of events in April. First up is the Brassed Off Cup in Howth Yacht Club on Good Friday April 15th and the Irish Sailing Youth Nationals which will be held in Ballyholme between Apil 21-24.

There will be a more significant update on Clubhouse development progress in the coming days, but at this point we are not yet completed which means we are still restricted with our use of the Club. For the moment please come prepared for sailing, toilets will be available but our showers and changing rooms may not be available.

There is still more work to be done in the dinghy park, but members can start bringing their boats back down.

It is important that everybody bringing a boat to the dinghy park ensure they have paid their dinghy parking fee to enable us to prepare and manage the dinghy parking going forward this season. Please note, boat owners will need to have paid for a dinghy park space before the Club can provide a key to the dinghy park.

Online payment of membership renewal and dinghy park space is available via our website HERE.

As always the Club office, now relocated to the dinghy park, is open from 9am to 5pm so boats can be dropped down during the week. Please let Hugh or team in the office know if you are dropping a boat down. If you need access out of hours please contact a committee member via the WhatsApp and access can usually be arranged. The dinghy park will be open next Saturday April 9th as well.

As I said there will be a further update shortly on Clubhouse development progress but for now we look forward to getting the new season under way and welcoming boats and sailors back down to the Club next Sunday.

Regards

General Committee
