We had 4 boats with Club representatives last weekend at the GP14 British Nationals in Llandudno. Despite picking up a bug which forced them to miss the final 2 races, Hugh & Dan Gill still managed 6 top 10 results and 6th place overall behind former World Champion Ian Dobson & Andy Tunnicliffe.
A big shout out to Natasha O’Tiarnaigh (yellow beanie), daughter of Ruan and niece of our Commodore Ciara. Natasha hopped in to crew for UK sailor Johnny Sinclair and finished 13th overall. This was only Natashas second GP14 event, an amazing result in such company. Natasha will be sailing under Sutton Dinghy Club burgee at the upcoming Worlds in Skerries Sailing Club with Charlotte O’Tiarnaigh who is home from the US for the event.
Natashas twin Rebekkah was sailng with Dad Ruan with Peter & Stephen Boyle also across in Llandudno Sailing Club . We expect upto 8 Sutton crews up in Skerries for the Worlds in 3 weeks time. Thanks to Richard Craig and SailPics.co.uk for the photos.
