The 2022 Junior Regatta was held in glorious weather yesterday. The 2 fleets raced in between 4 and 9knots with the Mixed Fleet in the Bay off the Committee Boat and the Optimist fleet off the club line. The Optimist fleet with Conor Clarke as PRO had 3 great races for the 19 boats while Jim Lambkin got 2 longer races for the Mixed fleet made up of 21 Laser 4.7, Radial, RS Fevas and Toppers.
The Club Commodore Ciara O’TIarnaigh was on hand for the prize-giving after racing. The top prize in the Optimist went to Harry Dunne of Howth Yacht Club with Thomas Judge taking the IODAI Trophy for top Sutton boat in 5th.
In the Mixed fleet the Overall PY winner was Charlie Keating (ILCA4) from Howth Yacht Club with Suttons Oisin Kelly (ILCA4) and Ciaran Durnford (ILCA6) in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Charlie Keating took the Henry Trophy for top Laser. Ben Moreau from Malahide Yacht Club took the Creek Cup for top Topper with Livia Garg-Holohan and Sophie Kilcullen taking top RS Feva. Full results can be seen HERE.
