It is with sadness that we heard of the passing of former member and IDRA14 sailor Walter ‘Wally’ Hogan over the Christmas. Wally passed away early on Christmas morning after a recent illness. Wally was a regular and competitive member of the IDRA14 class, sailing 14/138 out of Sutton in the late 70’s and 80’s.
Wallys connection to the Club has continued with both his grandsons actively involved. Graham has been Club Sailing Instructor in recent years and Alan races regularly with the GP14 fleet. His daughter Carol is a current member of our General Committee along with son-in law Trevor.
Our thoughts and wishes are with all the family at this sad time. Funeral will take place in All Saints Church Raheny Friday 30th Dec. @ 11am.
